Sink Mats
stained silicone baking mats?
I have a red silicone mat which has helped me bake so many cookies. I always wash it in the sink with warm soapy water and then stick it in the top rack of the dish washer.
After so many uses the mat has "stains" on it. Some places are dark and some places are even black. The stains don't effect how the mat works, nor do they cause my cookies to taste any differently; but I'd like some suggestions as to how to get the stains off of the mat (if its even possible).
*Please don't say "just scrub it with hot water and dish soap", I've tried that.
Try scrubbing it with a paste of baking soda and water. That's worked to get stains out of some of my silicone bakeware.
